Account deletion

Delete your ChorePilot account safely.

ChorePilot, offered by SortoApps, makes the in-app Account screen the primary deletion path. If your installed version does not show that action or you cannot sign in, request support-assisted deletion here.

1. Delete in the app

In a ChorePilot version that includes account deletion, open Account, then choose Delete account. The app shows what will happen, checks your household role, asks for deliberate confirmation, and may require you to sign in again before the request proceeds.

This is the fastest route because you are already signed in. You will receive an explicit result when the request completes or clear instructions when household ownership must be resolved first.

2. Shared households are protected

  • Non-owners leave each household as part of account deletion.
  • An owner must transfer ownership to an eligible member before deleting their account when the household still has other members.
  • A sole owner of an empty household can explicitly approve deletion of that empty household during the in-app flow.
  • ChorePilot never silently deletes another member or a shared household.

3. What happens to your data

After verification and required household checks, ChorePilot removes your sign-in account, user profile, device tokens, private proof and discovery media, and other data tied only to you. Your household memberships are removed, and personal references in shared records are removed or anonymized where the shared record must remain for other members. If a FeedbackPal report was synced to an external engineering issue, its user-authored content and identity context are anonymized before deletion completes.

Shared household data belonging to other members is preserved. Limited operational or transaction records may be retained when reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. Retained records are minimized and no longer used to provide your deleted account.

ChorePilot retains a minimal, backend-only deletion lock so an old device or delayed service event cannot recreate a deleted account. It contains no name, email, household link, private content, or raw deletion credential.

Provider-managed safety and reliability records, such as bounded OpenAI API abuse-monitoring data for room-photo analysis or account-unlinked Firebase Crashlytics diagnostics, follow the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy and may not be removed immediately with your ChorePilot account.

See the Privacy Policy for more information about data categories and retention.

4. Cancel subscriptions separately

Deleting your ChorePilot account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription directly with the store used for purchase to avoid future renewal charges.

5. Request deletion without the app

If you cannot sign in or no longer have ChorePilot installed, email chorepilot@gmail.com from the address connected to your ChorePilot account when possible. Include the account email and, optionally, the household name so support can locate the correct account.

Never send your password, authentication codes, proof photos, or identity documents by email. Support may ask for a safe verification step before deletion and will explain any ownership issue that prevents the request from completing.
